Kraus-Anderson completes classroom improvements and security upgrades for Siren Schools

SIREN Wis. (August 2020) – Kraus-Anderson (KA) has completed classroom improvements and security upgrades to the elementary, middle and high school buildings for the Siren School District in Siren, Wis.
Designed by LHB Architects, the 17,338-square-foot interior remodel added new windows and created secured entrances by relocating the district office, high school office and elementary school office near the building entrances. The science classroom and administrative offices, including the Native American office and the technology coordinator’s office, also were remodeled and new HVAC was added. Space was also added for the local law enforcement resources officer, while in the building.
In addition, the original district offices were demolished to create three new classrooms and an open locker bay at the middle school.
Siren Schools is among dozens of major K-12 construction projects Kraus-Anderson will work on this year during its “Summer Sprint,” a critical, concentrated time during the summer months when school is not in session and when crews can perform work that ranges from new school construction to upgrades to deferred maintenance projects.
KA continues to lead the field of regional education construction projects and is currently ranked 8th in the nation in the construction of K-12 facilities by Building Design and Construction magazine. Over the past five years, KA has completed over $1 billion in K-12 projects.
