COON RAPIDS, Minn. (July 2021) – Kraus-Anderson (KA) has completed a $5.8 million renovation at Allina Health’s Mercy Hospital, located at 11850 Blackfoot Street NW in Coon Rapids, Minn.
Designed by Leo A Daly Architects, the 25,000-square-foot project has renovated the 3rd-floor Mercy Specialty Center to accommodate the Medical Oncology Clinic, Mercy Piper Breast Center, Long-Term Infusion, Pharmacy, lab space and Virginia Piper Cancer Institute Clinic.
The project, which began in September of 2020, was multi-phased, providing patient use of the Medical Oncology Clinic and the Breast Center exam and imaging rooms during construction. The expansion features a new compounding pharmacy that creates custom medications and a lab space to serve the suite. The project also provides additional support from a pneumatic tube system, which transports specimens across Coon Rapids Boulevard to and from Mercy Hospital.
