SCOPE: The remodeling included the addition of three more patient rooms, more open spaces with windows, an outside patio, and the group room received exercise equipment, giving patients another option for physical therapy.
FUNCTION: To serve as a place of refuge for those who may be experiencing mental crises.
A WORD FROM THE CLIENT: In a press release behavioral health program director, Heather Erickson tells says the goal of the space was “to be welcoming and healing.” Erickson continues to say, “Our remodel is mindful of all the research that shows our mental health benefits from exercise, natural light and increased exposure to sunlight and fresh air.”
A WORD FROM KRAUS-ANDERSON: “This was a multi-phase project where we needed to keep the unit up and running while we completed the work.
