A WORD FROM KRAUS-ANDERSON:

Overall, the project went very well! We met our scheduled deadline and provided cost savings back to the Owner. As with any project, we had to overcome some challenges, but we still completed the project on time and within budget with all of our original subcontractors. One challenge we faced was our KA project superintendent, Greg Smoczyk, retired when the project was roughly 75% complete of the scope, so bringing in a new face to work with the school district day to day and maintain the district’s confidence was crucial. Additionally, the district superintendent retired when we were nearly 90% complete with the project, so getting the new district administrator up to speed and maintaining the strong Owner relationship we had established with the previous was important. We keep in touch today, and I hope he will work with us again in the future.—Gage Shoman, Project Manager
