Project Highlights
Paul began his career as a project engineer intern in 2014 and since has grown his career at Kraus-Anderson. He now serves as our Duluth preconstruction services manager but previously worked as a project manager on various projects. Here are some highlights.
- Played pivotal role on numerous projects including:
- Rock Ridge High School- Noll led $123-million, 4-year project in his hometown school district, where he graduated as Valedictorian. “It was special for me to give back to the community/educational system who helped form who I am today,” Paul said. - Cooper Elementary School- 93% complete when a fire destroyed everything but the primary structure. Rebuilt the school, managed legal/insurance/client/etc. “It was an exercise to the thousandth degree in communication and leadership,” Paul said. “The experience will change you but it’s an opportunity for learning and growth.”
- Essentia Health- 45,000-square-foot adult and pediatric facility. “In any project, I like to think of the end user, how the project will make a positive impact on the individuals and overall community,” Paul said.
- Expanded Duluth’s pre-construction services: Recently named Pre-Construction Services Manager. Paul’s collaboration and planning skills helped build out this department and integrate pre-con activities into the overall construction process, resulting in more efficient and successful projects.
- Introduced lean process: Worked closely with colleagues to establish lean construction practices and identify ways for continuous improvement. “Paul ‘owns’ his responsibilities and is diligent in providing timely and high-quality products,” said Senior PM Patrick Gallagher.
- Respected by colleagues: “Paul is wise beyond his years. His judgement, initiative and leadership make him an obvious rising young rising star in his peer group” (Gallagher). “His remarkable intelligence, thoroughness, customer focus, and unwavering positive attitude drive the culture of KA-Duluth” (Dan Markham, KA-Duluth’s DOO).

- “KAmbassador”: Paul serves as the ambassador for incoming Kraus-Anderson Duluth employees. In the past four years, he’s mentored 5 individuals. Though it’s a 6-month-long commitment, Paul goes above and beyond, remaining with his mentees officially for a full year and unofficially after that if they have questions or need advice.

Paul finds it important to give back to the community and steps outside the job site to do so.
- Habitat for Humanity: Paul has volunteered with this organization multiple times, both in and after college, including in his local Iron Range region.
- Bike Duluth Festival: As an intern, Paul began organizing the inaugural Bike Duluth Festival. The event, which is attended by thousands, has raised over $350,000 for the community. “How the first year goes can really determine the success of whether it’s going to return for a second year and beyond. To see it here 8, 9 years later is incredible,” Paul said. Throughout the past 9 years, Paul has held leadership positions in overall festival organization/administration, media/PR, and venue logistics.
