A Report from Kraus-Anderson’s Out-of-state Offices 2024

By Brenden Nickels, Senior Office Assistant

As Kraus-Anderson expanded its presence across the country in 2024, each of the company’s regional offices – Bemidji, Duluth, Rochester, Madison, Milwaukee, Bismarck, and the newest additions in Fargo, Phoenix, and Des Moines – delivered exciting projects and reached noteworthy milestones.

Duluth Office Relocates to Historical Building

After renovating and moving into what was formerly the Duluth National Bank building in the Lincoln Park neighborhood, KA-Duluth had a successful year. The team received various awards, such as the F&C Top Historic Renovation Project for the conversion of the old Duluth Central High School building into the Zenith DCHS Apartments and the MCA Choice Award for 2023 for the construction of Rock Ridge High School in Virginia, MN.

KA is working with the City of Rochester to implement geothermal solutions for various downtown buildings in their new district energy system. Key Projects for the Wisconsin Offices

In Wisconsin, the Milwaukee office finished work on the Olympia Fields VA Clinic, the corporate headquarters for Enerpac Tool Group, and a packaging facility in Mississippi. Meanwhile, the Madison office completed an impressive addition for Ladysmith High School in time for the new school session to start. The team also completed a new 237-guest-room hotel for the Wisconsin Dells’ Kalahari Resort.

Work Continues with Prominent North Dakota Partners

Kraus-Anderson expanded its physical presence, as well as services, within North Dakota with the opening of a Fargo office. Kraus-Anderson’s Fargo and Bismarck offices collaborate to construct projects for North Dakota State University, Bismarck Public Works, Litchville-Marion Schools, and Bismarck State College, among numerous other influential clients. This year, Kraus-Anderson broke ground on the Bolley Agricultural Laboratory, the largest capital construction project in NDSU history. The facility will house a variety of agricultural research programs including plant pathology, plant breeding, weed science, agronomy, soil science, and horticulture.

KA Has Heart’s Efforts in the Out-of-state Areas

In addition to serving various clients and communities through KA’s construction expertise, the out-of-state offices lent their time and talents through volunteerism. KA-Phoenix painted fire curbs red in GR Herberger Park for the city and packed meals for Feed My Starving Children, while KA-Rochester cleaned up the landscaping at the Gift of Life Transplant House and passed out ~2,000 s’mores at Social-ICE, an annual festival in downtown Rochester. KA’s North Dakota offices participated in Designer Genes’ 21st annual “Buddy Walk,” handing out water and treats to those who stopped by the booth. KA-Milwaukee remained involved with Ronald McDonald House Charities.

All in all, Kraus-Anderson continues to fulfill its mission of “building strong communities and enduring relationships” throughout the communities that the company serves, in both the areas where KA has physical roots in the form of offices and beyond. As 2024 soon comes to an end, Kraus-Anderson carries that same mission into the new year.
